Two people have died and at least 10 more have fallen ill from listeria infections linked to nondairy milk products in Canada. The Public Health Agency of Canada has issued a recall for over a dozen plant-based products from Silk and Great Value due to possible contamination. The affected individuals, primarily older adults, reported symptoms after consuming the recalled beverages. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is investigating and has warned that listeria-contaminated food may not appear spoiled.
