Cardinal Sean O'Malley is retiring after over 20 years as Archbishop of Boston, with Bishop Richard Henning of Providence set to succeed him. The Vatican will officially announce this at 6 a.m. Monday. O'Malley, 80, was appointed in 2003 during a tumultuous period for the archdiocese and was elevated to cardinal in 2006.
