Storms could mean more water for already drenched Twin Cities

Thunderstorms are expected in the Twin Cities Sunday night into Monday morning, with heavy rain likely. The National Weather Service predicts storms to begin around 8 p.m. and continue until nearly 7 a.m. Meteorologist Michelle Margraf notes that while severe storms are unlikely, significant rainfall is anticipated. The area has already experienced nearly 2 feet of precipitation this year, surpassing the normal amount for this time. Hot and humid conditions will persist with temperatures in the upper 80s.
