Widespread Panic announced that guitarist Jimmy Herring has been diagnosed with stage 1 tonsil cancer but is expected to make a full recovery. As a result, the band has canceled their upcoming shows in Asheville, N.C., scheduled for July 25-27, 2024, while they adjust their schedule to accommodate Herring's treatment. The band plans to resume performances in late August and has not affected other scheduled dates.
