Up to 8 inches of rain trigger flash flood emergency for parts of northeast Vermont - The Boston Globe

A flash flood warning is in effect for Caledonia and Essex counties in Vermont due to catastrophic flooding caused by 5 to 8 inches of rain. The Passumpsic River is flooding significantly, and several roads and bridges have been washed out. No additional rainfall is expected, but flooding impacts will continue.
