Tornado warning issued for parts of Mercer, Venango counties

A tornado warning is in effect for parts of Venango and Mercer counties until 2:15 p.m., with a severe thunderstorm watch across Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia until 7 p.m. Storms may produce wind gusts up to 70 mph, hail up to two inches, and isolated tornadoes. Reports of downed trees have been noted in Mercer and Grove City. A slight risk for severe weather persists, with the main threats being large hail and damaging winds. Cooler temperatures are expected later in the week, with rain showers possible from Tropical Storm Debby on Friday.
