Three tornadoes struck the South Carolina Midlands, with one reaching winds of 95 mph, causing significant tree and property damage. The first tornado, an EF-0, caused minor damage in the Spring Hill area. The second EF-0 tornado affected areas near Rion, uprooting trees and damaging homes. The most powerful, an EF-1 tornado, caused extensive damage near Winnsboro, overturning trailers and breaking utility poles.
