Queensland premier admits cost of Olympics stadium was always going to rise

Queensland Deputy Opposition Leader Jarrod Bleijie questioned Infrastructure Minister Grace Grace about the rising costs of the Gabba redevelopment, which Premier Steven Miles acknowledged was always expected to increase. Miles, who was health minister during the decision, stated that the initial cost analysis was inadequate and confirmed that a business case for the $1.6 billion QSAC renovation had not been completed. A senate estimates hearing revealed that costs are still being finalized through a project validation report.
