NWS confirms EF-1 tornado touched down in Buffalo

An EF-1 tornado with peak winds of 90 mph touched down in downtown Buffalo, causing damage to buildings and power outages. The tornado traveled 1.4 miles, starting on I-90 and ending at Tupper and Oak streets. No injuries were reported, but residents of a nursing home were relocated due to roof damage.
