Covid-19’s back. Should you be worried?
Covid-19 levels are rising in the United States again, leading to a summer wave of infections. People are advised to consider their medical circumstances, stay up-to-date with vaccines, and take precautions such as masking in crowded indoor spaces. Rapid antigen home tests are recommended for symptomatic individuals. Travelers are advised to wear N95 masks in crowded spaces, dine outdoors, and have a plan in case of infection. A new Covid-19 vaccine is expected in the fall, and individuals are encouraged to wait for it for better protection. If infected, individuals should isolate until fever-free for 24 hours and continue precautions for five days.
