Heavy rain in northern Vermont leads to washed out roads and rescues
Heavy rain in northern Vermont caused road washouts and approximately two dozen rescues, nearly three weeks after previous flooding from Hurricane Beryl. Areas received 6 to 8 inches of rain, leading to flash flooding and a shelter-in-place advisory in St. Johnsbury. Emergency teams conducted rescues, and damage reports are still being assessed.
