The FDA has approved a new non-opioid pain medication called suzetrigine, branded as Journavx, marking the first new type of pain medicine in over 20 years. It is designed for acute pain relief, particularly post-surgery, and will be available as a 50-milligram pill taken every 12 hours at a cost of $15.50 each.
